The data documentation is fully utilized for carrying out this comparative study. In general, the language style is personal to the writer to convey knowledge and indirectly influenced by their different backgrounds. For that purpose, this study will focus on the discussion of 58th surah in the Quran, which is surah al-Mujadalah. The beauty of the language used by these two scholars in the Quranic exegesis should be reviewed to gain insights. This study explores the language style used in Tafsir al-Azhar and Abr al-Athir which both use the Malay language as the medium of instruction in the interpretation of the verses of the Quran.
